Recipe for PEACE

It appears that Jesus has provided us with a valuable recipe for bringing peace to our world as presented in the Gospel of Luke, and as proclaimed in our Sunday mass during the Liturgy of the Word.

The message is as clear as it is challenging. In fact, we cannot begin to follow the recipe on our own. Jesus knew that we would need to rely on his help, and that help is precisely what he gave us. From the cross, forgiveness and mercy were his profound gift, displayed in his actions and though his words. As he did for us, so must we do for others.

Not only did he script for us his recipe, but he provided the gift of his Holy Spirit as our guide and counselor. She is our wisdom and our strength. She will lead us if we trust enough to follow.

Below the Recipe is a Prayer that I sung with the children after our lesson. We remembered to pray for the highest good of our dear Pope Francis.
