Hope Is for Everyone

We all have things that we hope for. We hope for our leaders to represent us and support our greatest good. We hope for the best experiences when we gather with our families to celebrate holidays and festivities. We hope that the teams we cheer for will do well. We hope that we will find success in relationships fostered at home, school, work, church, and in our community. We hope for an end to pain and suffering and disillusionment.

We are all called to be hope for our world, to be a light for those around us, and to share the goodness and love that is in us.

For Christians, the season of Advent marks a time of preparation and a time of hope which begins four  Sundays ahead of Christmas, which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior.

Because I am a Christian, I am given steadfast hope which lies in the assurance that our God, who is love and who always existed before me and who made me, remains with me and in me, and will come for me at the time of his choosing. I will be wrapped in his everlasting love and goodness.

We are all on a journey. We do not all know where we are going. We do not know how we will get there. Hope is the assurance given to each of us that the destination which is our heritage is the love that has been poured out for us.
