Walk with Jesus

I wrote this poetic Way of the Cross in Lent of 2022. It is a prayer to Jesus that helps us to unite our earthly journey to his. This prayer should move us to place our sins and sufferings on his redeeming cross.

I expanded the sung version of this Walk with spoken reflections for each station which created a 24-minute Walk with Jesus, appropriate for sharing with a gathering of the faithful in a church setting. I was able to share this longer prayer with our Los Amados group in March and again at our final Friday Stations of the Cross in my St. Victoria parish home this Lent.

What I am sharing here is a shorter 12-minute Walk which is an individual prayer and reflection intended to add grace to what may be a full, yet holy and treasured, Good Friday. For that matter, this Walk can be prayed at any time in any place. There should be no constraints on an opportunity to have an encounter with God.

This is my first trial of sharing my illustrations and song in an iMovie format. I am new to this tool, so I will have much more exploration to do in the use of this media.

As I’ve mentioned before, if my goal were perfection, none of my work would be shared. I don’t believe that God has called me to be perfect, just to be willing. Enjoy a prayerful moment in your day to Walk with Jesus.
